The cultural, social and environmental association of Bora Bora takes a new step in its mission to share the heritage of Vāvau. Discover our history, our actions and the legends of the island.

This website is designed to serve as a permanent showcase for the work of Te Fare Hiro'a nō Vāvau: to present the archaeological sites of Bora Bora, share the legends from the Ā'ai nō Vāvau (Legends of Bora Bora) collection, report on the association's activities and allow anyone who wishes to join us to get in touch.

Bora Bora is known worldwide for its lagoon and landscapes. This website invites you to discover what postcards do not show: an island inhabited for centuries by a civilisation whose memory, stories and sacred places deserve to be known, protected and passed on.
